Patriotism

Patriotism
We love our country. WE do many things for the welfare of the country. We even sacrifice for the good of the country. This feeling towards own country is known as patriotism.
Patriotism is a great virtue. It is said that mother and motherland are superior even to heaven. Most of the people have got love to their country. They are shocked and irritated if there is some external interference. They raise voice against such activities of the foreign countries. They are ready to sacrifice their personal interest for the good of the country.
Patriots are liked by all. They are praised and respected. They are immortal. They are worshipped by the countrymen. They are honored all over the world. But a selfish man is hated. He may be rich but not happy. Although he may be born of the noble and rich family, he is forgotten by all. He may be enemy to the country. He takes personal benefits against the welfare of the country. We must condemn a selfish man.
There were many patriots in our country that fought for the welfare of the country. We can take the name of Bir Balbhadra Kunwar, Bhimsen Thapa and AmarSingh Thapa. They fought for the land of Nepal. They fought for sake of the country. They did not let the foreigners capture the land of the Nepal. In the present context, we Nepalese have to struggle to region the Nepalese land of kalapani, Pashupati Nagar. These Nepalese lands are occupied by the Indian soldiers. WE have driven them out from our beloved land.
Patriotism has also some fault. Too much feeling patriotism is bad. We must also think that all the people of world are our brothers and sisters. It is bad to fight one another in the name of Patriotism. We must love our country but we must not hate others.
We as a citizen have a lot to do for the sake of our country. It is our responsibility to do for the good of the country. We should do what we can do for the betterment of our country.
